Additionally, the tube-facing surface of the rings uses machined grooves to improve contact and help prevent slippage. Dual recoil lugs on the base portion of the ring provide additional contact points to the base, making it more secure. For even more security, each recoil lug has its own nut for securing the ring to the base or rail, ensuring an even and reliable installation. Riton by Contessa Tactical Rings are constructed of 7075 aluminum, offering additional strength over the more commonly used 6061-T6 variety, and are available in 30mm or 34mm tube diameters with a 10mm height.
