Overall I am impressed with the quality of the set, and I like the fact that you can buy accessories.The cars have magnets that help keep them on the track, and track has adjustable speed that also helps.The cars seem ok quality, but the rear spoilers are cheap and one broke off within the first hour (not really a biggie).If you are a first timer, then the instructions are not particularly obvious. I think they could provide a setup video somewhere.This set is LARGE. I’m guessing at least 8 foot in length once it is installed I think. This would not fit on your kitchen table.TIPS:The track setup requires a bit of getting used to. When I first connected the tracks, I didn’t use the red clips, and the track would come apart. You have to use the red plastic connectors to lock the track pieces together, and make sure that they are inserted the right way.The lights of the car are great, but they do turn on and off via the hand controller, and so if they are not working, then that could be the reason. Also, if they are flashing, then you might have to turn off the fuel setting on the controller.The cars can switch lanes when it passes over the lane switching section, but to do so, you need to press the controller button prior to approaching the section. This is actually my favorite feature of the track and allows for overtaking etc.You can run more than two cars on the track if you buy additional cars and controllers. I bought an additional police car / controller which is fun. The controller supports up to 4 wired controllers, and there is a way to program a controller to a car. I think to use wireless, you need to buy a separate receiver in addition to the handsets, since this set is wired by default.
